Our AGM is coming up on 12 October at 6:30pm via Zoom, and all ACTEBA members are encouraged to attend.
This is your opportunity to have a genuine say in how our Association is run β including who represents you on the Executive Committee, the fees you pay, Life Membership, our Constitution, and other matters affecting ACTEBA and its members.
The AGM is where members get to vote and help shape the direction of the Association, so weβd love to see a strong turnout.
π 12 October | 6:30pm | Via Zoom π’ Notices of Motion must be submitted to the Secretary by 12 September.
Itβs your Association. Have your say and get involved! π±
There is no preferred day of play for this event. Based on last year’s entries you will play on either Saturday or Sunday but not both and we will only use the Friday night as a last resort.
There is a new selection process this year. Two teams of 6 travel to the Australia Cup and the trials will be used to determine the Top 12 players. Once that is done the ACTEBA Core will select who of those 12 play in each team.
The Australia Cup is an event that targets players who may not usually get the opportunity to play at Nationals, enabling better exposure to the pressures and quality of players from around Australia. The event is played alongside the Nationals and this year is on the Gold Coast from 18th to 28th November.
Based on last yearβs entries play is expected to be completed on a single day on Saturday 12th September, however is subject to change based on entries.
This year we also held the Over 60s State Championship earlier in the year so there are just two places remaining on the team.
The expected format is: – Split players into two groups – Round robin x2 for each group – The top 2 from each group then join and have a Top 4 playoff to determine finishing order for order of team offers
Congratulations to the Masters, who played off this weekend for their spots joining Paul Carlile and Matt Power in the 2026 ACT Masters Team.
Final standings are: Mongrel Phil Morton Sid Scott Matt Connor Jack Dehm ——————- Clive Hardisty Gerard Johnston (won playoff) Paul Berger Geoff Core Dusko Felding Drago Perkovic (won playoff) Keith Tonna (won playoff) Tolly Auva’a Graham Doering Gordon Pyne Murray Jefferies (scratched)

IT’S HERE: IRO/AEBF Accreditation is open for registration!
Ever wanted to officiate at local, state, national or even international level? This is your way in. Become an accredited referee and be the one calling the shots where it matters most.
Running 9thβ16th November, at locations across Australia β we’ll confirm exact cities based on where the numbers land, so the more people from your city that register, the better chance we bring it to you.
Spots and locations are shaped by who signs up, so don’t sit on this one. If your city doesn’t hit numbers, you’re fully refunded β no risk in getting in early.
Would you like your ACTEBA season fees covered simply by helping out for an hour on a Tuesday night?
ACTEBA is looking for volunteers to assist with the Harmonie German Club Jackpot Joker.
β Help out for 1 night and we’ll cover 50% of your season fees β Help out for 2 nights and we’ll cover 100% of your season fees β Already paid your fees? We’ll refund them accordingly
The best part? It’s easy!
All you need to do is spend approximately 1 hour walking around the club selling Jackpot Joker tickets. You’ll meet members and patrons, help raise valuable funds for ACTEBA, and have a bit of fun along the way.
