Hi all captains and players this weekend,

The file linked below has been updated with confirmed venues as well as most adjudicators. The start time for all groups is 11am (venues should be open at 10.30am). The format is round robin THREE times, with the top 4 progressing to round 2. If you are unable to play, please let me know asap.

Given the arrangements teams made to accommodate ANZAC day, (thankfully we won't have to deal with that again for a while), and some results not being reported there was a slight delay in getting results out.

All but one finals match have been played. (currently being played tonight)

Congratulations to Nicole Welsh for winning her 4th ACT state singles title!

Going into the top 4 playoffs on Saturday at Kaleen, the top 4 seeds and top 4 ranked ladies were all keen to add another state title to the one or more they already had. The round robin was always going to be very competitive, and in the end there was not much between all 4 ladies, with the last frame of the last match determining who would play Nicole in the final:

Les beat Cindy 4-1
Nicole beat Theresa 4-2
Theresa beat Cindy 4-2
Nicole beat Les 4-1
Cindy beat Nicole 4-3
Theresa beat Les 4-3

In a repeat of the 2010 final, and the battle of the 2010 and 2011 state champs, it was Nicole v Theresa, and in the end it was Nicole who claimed the title, 7 frames to 2. Big thanks to Penny for adjudicating the event.

Hi All,

Well that's it for the Summer Comp's regular season.

Congratulations to the teams that made it to the finals, and commiserations to those that missed out. There were some seriously tight placings in some divisions which went down to the results of other teams to determine the top 4. Very entertaining stuff.

Hi all,

Over the weekend of 17-18 March, ten ladies pairs played off for the title of ACT Ladies Doubles champions. On the Saturday, all 10 teams played a round robin, with the top 4 returning on Sunday to fight for the title. After a great weekend of pool, all at Kaleen, Cindy & Nicole once again triumphed, defeating Kathy & Theresa in the final. Congratulations to all players, and thanks to Jason Scott for adjudicating. Hi all,

The 2012 Masters Championships were held during March.

Congratulations to Mongrel for winning the ACT masters title for a 3rd year in a row! He defeated Pete Smith 6-3 in the final yesterday, in a repeat of last year's GF, after Pete won a tense playoff against Kevin Harrow to make the final. This means those 3 as well as Sid Scott qualify for our masters team at this years nationals.
